The Predestined
"Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called..." - Romans 8:30
My brother and I, who were born into a Christian family, were raised according to the Christian order. My brother, while learning to swim with his friends, unexpectedly drowned and died. So my parents raised me very strictly, not letting me go out of the house. However, I was in the habit of watching movies with my friends.
I was regular in church and actively involved in church activities. Even before being saved, I used to teach Bible stories, verses, and songs to children. Even though I decided not to watch movies, I could not help watching them. One day, while I was going to the cinema, I heard a song from the church, "If you do not live wisely in your time, you will end up in tears." Hearing this brought tears to my eyes. However, I went to the cinema. I could not watch the whole movie and got up halfway. After that, I started attending convention meetings at night. I confessed my sins in the meeting of Sadhu Chellappa and surrendered myself completely to Jesus.
After completing my studies, I joined a company near my home. If I went to the company at night, I would fall asleep there. One day, as usual, at 1 am, while praying, I heard a voice distinctly saying, "Go to Bethel." After hearing that voice, I could not sleep again. I had once visited Bethel, the missionary complex in Salem district, for the FMPB state camp. At that time, I remembered that I had been assigned to full-time ministry. Immediately, I left early in the morning and went to Bethel, shared God's voice with Brother Sam there, and through him, I joined the Bible College. I was convinced that God had predestined me for His ministry. From 1979 to 1989, I worked as an FMPB Missionary in Bihar and U.P. Delhi. After getting married in 1986, we worked as a family among the Maldo people in Bihar and then in Delhi and Vishwavani Mission. After retirement, we have been working as a family in VMM. The Lord has given the opportunity to serve as a welfare director for retired missionaries here.
Are you a vessel predestined by God? Do you hear the voice of His call but are unwilling to obey? Obey the voice of the Lord today. Commit yourself to becoming a vessel of blessing to many.
