Indescribable joy

 

"…for the joy of the LORD is your strength” - Nehemiah 8:10

 

Rajesh had to stay in England for two weeks. He was confident that the money would reach him once he reached London. He have to go to America in two days. Purchased goods in good faith. He did not have a penny in his hand. And don't know a single person. But he trusted in the Lord and rejoiced in the Lord. The money came in at the last minute. He paid for his stay, food and all the expenses for the travel he was going to take and went to America with the rest. Indescribable joy for him! When we trust the Lord 100% like a little child, 100% joy fills our hearts.

 

The word joy means "celebratory joy" in Greek. Children of Christ have joy to celebrate every day. Isn't it a joy to celebrate that the God who created everything, the Almighty God is with us!

 

 R.A. Dori says, “Before I accepted Christ as my Saviour, I felt like the most tired and anxious person in the world. But what is the cost of becoming a true Christian? As much as I ask, I am always happy in absence and incapability. But today some people are happy when they have more money. Some people are into buying luxury goods. But abiding happiness is in the Lord. Whatever ups and downs may come, when you see him, they all vanish. When the Lord is with us, we can celebrate each day with boundless joy when we leave everything in His hands. You can be happy even in times of hardship.

 

We can be happy when we trust Him and live devotedly to Him 24 hours a day. Rejoice always in the Lord, be happy, Paul wrote to the Philippians, even though he was bound and in prison. When we believe in the Lord and see His power in Him, boundless joy fills our hearts. We get this joy when we depend on Him with the thought that the Lord is always with me and He is the Almighty God.
