Faith

 

"...Daughter, your faith has made you well…" - Mark 5:34

 

There was no rain in a village for some years. A few Christians were living in that village. While everyone went to the church to fast and pray for rain, only one little boy carried an umbrella in his hand. When someone asked the boy why he was carrying an umbrella, he said, "The Lord will hear our prayers and give rain. I don't want to go home getting wet, that's why I'm bringing an umbrella." See how great his faith is! Similarly, God honoured the faith of the little boy and commanded a great rain that day.

 

The Lord Jesus Christ performed many miracles and wonders during the days he lived on earth. He cured many sick people. He gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and the lame to walk. Because of this, many had faith on Jesus. Jesus also saw and admired the faith of some. We know the faith of such a woman. She is a woman who suffered 12 year. This woman was greatly grieved because she consulted many physicians, and spent all that she had, and heard of Jesus without being healed at all, saying that if she touched his garment, she would be cured, and touching his garment, she was healed. All this is due to the woman's faith.

 

Beloved! Just as a magnet attracts iron, the afflicted woman's faith attracted the healing power of Jesus. She also got perfect comfort. Prayer without faith is "like a gun without bullets". Faithful prayer will save the sinner. If you have the faith of the one who suffered for 12 years, you will be free and happy. Faithlessness is displeasing to God. So let our faith be in God alone. Let us pray to him to increase our faith every day.
