What kind of faith

 

"…I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel" - Luke 7:9

 

The centurion in today's scriptures did not come to Jesus out of selfishness or for himself or his family's family. He humbled himself for the salvation of his servant and believed in the power of Jesus' words. Jesus commended his faith as above and healed the servant saying that I have not found such faith even in Israel. What does this incident teach us? 2 Chronicles 7:14 God promises that if the people who are called by His name humble themselves and pray, He will give the land to them. As believers, do we believe in the power of his words and pray for the revival of the nation, for peace, benefits and rulers? Or are we selfishly praying for our own affairs? Or do we think that praying for the nation is useless? Let's think.

 

It is good and pleasing to God to make supplications, prayers, supplications, and thanksgivings for all men. 1Timothy. 2: 1-3 to obey the words of the scriptures and ask the Lord in faith for the problems of other people's captivity. Are we oblivious to heart-breaking things in the newspapers? Do we plead Jesus for the poor, the destitute, the children, the women, who are suffering from various hardships? Faith out of love will help. (Galatians 5:6) Faith without deeds is dead (James 2:26) How is our faith?

 

Beloved, we who are called believers should not only pray for ourselves but for the nation and stand in the gap with faith for others. Let us humble ourselves and pray like a centurion. Let's see God's amazing answers. Let's be true believers that God praises and honours! Amen.
