Good deeds

 

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works;…" - Ephesians 2:10

 

How are you, kids? Very good. Waiting for my story? Are you so desperate? Be ready! Okay, okay, shall we hear a true happening today?

 

You love to go to the beach and play on the beach, dive into the sea and jump when the waves come, and enjoy the fun! Aniwa was an island in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean. There were people in the middle of the water around, have you studied about "Island". That's right! There was no school or hospital here. Aniwa people don't even know how to dress properly. John Patton went in search of such people. He taught them to dress. He used to talk kindly to everyone and do good. Emphasizing the importance of education, he started a school.

 

He started a home for fatherless children. Suddenly there was a water shortage. What, wondering if there is a water shortage on the island? Famine for drinking water, sea water is salty? So he taught people who had never seen well water to dig wells. The people of the island couldn't contain their joy when they saw the water coming from under the earth. They accepted the Lord as the true deity as the God who caused rain from beneath the earth. Eventually the leader of Aniwa accepted Jesus. John Patton did a lot of good for the ignorant people of Aniwa Island. He continued to do good deeds without thinking that it was enough. The result was that all the islanders came to know Jesus.

 

Little children, you too were created to do good deeds. A Christian missionary is the reason for your education today! What would we have been without education? thinking whom could I help, what should I do to them? Don't think about it and do what you can to help. God will surely give the result for this.
