"…Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature…” - Mark 16:15

 

Everyone who is saved and living as children of Jesus Christ is obligated to evangelize others. When I got married, we were working as missionaries in a village near Usilampatti. We arrived home in the afternoon after service and Sunday school classes . A 10-year-old girl was standing at the door with a sad smile. I called her in and gave her some snacks to eat and asked to go home. But she refused to go and said that I want that Jesus Christ that you and your brother preach.

 

In the Usilampatti region, where female infanticide is rampant, she is also an amazing survivor of such gruesome torture during childhood. But hated, ostracized and ignored by everyone, she was named Pichaiammal because she survived. She was studying fifth grade in the primary school there without any care or love. With the love of Jesus Christ, our love drew her to Christ. She attended church regularly and learned to pray and read the scriptures with me. I took care of her with love and educated her as much as I could.

 

Accepting Jesus Christ as her personal savior, Pichaiammal was baptized and became Grace. The family forced her to marry a unbeliever . But how can I, a believer, connect with an unbeliever? She refused. She was praying with faith that You can marry me to a Christian bridegroom. God showed us a bridegroom named Elijah Pandi, who was saved and ministering from a Hindu family, according to His eternal purpose. God has given the three children and is using them in church ministry and evangelism in the village in Dindigul area.

 

If I do not preach the gospel, woe to me! (1 Cor. 9 : 16.) He who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30). My people! We owe it to everyone to evangelize. (Romans 1 : 14 - 15) May God use us to raise up many such witnesses! Amen.
