Remove the Stones

 

"...Take out the stones..." - Isaiah 62:10

 

Christy bought a beautiful rose plant and planted it in a pot. Months passed. Not even a small shoot came out of the rose plant. Christy did not understand why. She showed the plant to her mother. Her mother saw that there were many stones in the pot where the plant was planted. She removed all the stones, filled the pot with good red soil, added fertilizer, and planted the plant again. The next month, the plant grew well and bloomed with beautiful flowers.

 

There are also many stones in our spiritual life, which may be sins that God hates, things that are not pleasing to the Lord. These sins may keep us from growing in the Lord. When we remove sins like bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness, and envy from us, our spiritual life will also grow beautifully, and bloom with nice fragrance. We will also become a blessing to many more.

 

God has called us to bear much fruit. Every day we will strive to remove from our lives those things that prevent us from bearing fruit. But one thing has to be understood. We cannot do this on our own strength. We need the power of the Holy Spirit. Some stones were also found, for example, in the life of Jesus' disciple Peter. Believing in his own strength and doing certain things out of preconceived notions was stone. He faced many failures in his life. But he lived a successful life the day he received the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he did not depend on himself but on the power of God. If you have not yet received the fullness of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, ask the Lord for it today. Everyone who asks receives. The Holy Spirit will do what we cannot do by our own strength and effort and make us fruitful. This will not happen without our effort. Yes, let us strive to remove the stones in our lives with the help of the Spirit. The Lord will bless us and make us a blessing to others.
