Is the Path Right?

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD" - Isaiah 55:8

A painter was painting a picture on the terrace of his house. After finishing the painting, he went back a little to see how his painting turned out. It was very beautiful. He went back a little more and looked back. It was more beautiful than before. He went a little further and looked further away. At that time, his wife, who was inside the house, brought him coffee to drink. The wife who came upstairs was shocked. What she saw shocked her, as her husband was fully focused on admiring the painting and was standing dangerously close to the edge of the terrace, which had no railing. The wife immediately, without panicking, poured the coffee in her hand on the painting. Seeing this, the husband came to his wife in anger. Then, realizing what had happened, he looked back. Only then did he realize that if we had taken one more step back, we would have fallen to his death.

This is how many people use drugs without realizing the danger. Even if the government issues warnings like floods and tsunamis, they disregard them and take selfies and get caught in dangers. How many mistakes do we make without realizing the danger, such as wheeling a motorcycle for memes and reels, or taking selfies in front of a train? We must obey God and do His will in the way of His salvation. The Lord advises us in Matthew 10:16 that we, the chosen ones of the Lord, should be as innocent as doves and as cunning as serpents. Although the snake is often said to be a symbol of evil and Satan, here God identifies the snake as walking wisely. The snake does not have ears, so it senses even small vibrations and is always alert. Similarly, this is the time when we must act alertly. This is the time when even the chosen ones will be deceived. So let us take every step very carefully in this time that God has given us, with the help of the Spirit. Blessed is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God. (Psalm 146:5)
