A king was given two young parrots as a gift. The king told his trainers to train them to fly and talk. One of the parrots not only flew well but also started talking a few words. What a cutie! Have you also raised a parrot? You might say, “A parrot will say what you say.” It is so happy to see that no matter what we say, it listens to us and repeats it back! I too, when I was a little child, I raised a parrot in our house. You must be wondering what happened to the other parrot. It didn't talk at all. It just sat on a branch of a tree and didn't fly.

 

The king trained it with great trainers. There was no use. Hearing this, a farmer told the king that he would make the parrot fly. The next morning, when the king woke up, the parrot was flying around the tree. The king was surprised with joy. When asked how he did this miracle, the farmer humbly said, "It was very easy, my king. Do you know what I did by climbing the tree? I cut the branch on which the flightless parrot was sitting. When he knew that he was going to fall down, he stumbled and started flying." The king praised the farmer's action, rewarded him and appointed him as a guard in his palace.

 

My dear little ones! In this way, many times, like that flightless parrot, we sit in one place, not realizing the talent that God has given us, and we do not make any effort, saying, "I can't do it, I am afraid." If we continue to move forward without giving up, we will surely reap the fruits of success, little ones! Trust in Jesus, discover your talents and use them. He will make things happen. Amen.
