Renewing the Spirit

 

"...yet the inward man is renewed day by day." - 2 Cor. 4:16

 

We use many types of ointment to keep our skin healthy and shiny. We believe that by drinking 3 liters of water daily, the waste in our body is removed and our body gets a natural glow. We include greens, vegetables, fruits, fish, etc. in the food we eat. We use seaweed, groundnut flour, and sesame oil to maintain our skin. But these only keep our skin shiny temporarily.

 

We are created with a spirit, soul, and body, and when we maintain our spiritual life, we can be shiny and bright. When we have a daily relationship with God, praise Him, and believe His words, we can receive spiritual refreshment. The problems we face every day can make us tired. But this word of “light affliction that will soon pass away” revives and makes us happy. Therefore, the only way for our inner soul to be refreshed is to embrace Him.

 

Therefore, beloved! Let us believe in Jesus Christ, who says, “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it,” and hand over all our worries to Him with confidence. Let us pray that the fruit of the Spirit that the Holy Spirit gives us, which is love, joy, and peace (Gal. 5:22,23), may be manifested in our life. Then the Spirit who dwells with us will repair and refine us. He will help us to be seen with radiance and beauty. So, in this year of reform, let us be seen shining in our spiritual life, allowing Him to renew us every day. Let us surrender ourselves completely to the God who makes us shine. May the Lord Himself lead us by the hand! Amen.
