The Lord’s Protection

 

"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee" - Isaiah 43:2

 

Our Lord is full of love, compassion, and mercy. Although He gives us a promise for all time, "Do not fear, for I am with you," He gives us some specific promises in advance to strengthen us.

 

You must have heard about the heavy rains in Tirunelveli in December 2023 and the damage caused. Due to the heavy rain that day, my daughter's house was flooded. So, we went up to the first floor. We thought we could manage there. But the water level kept rising and we informed the fire department. When they came, they brought us out safely, the flood water was up to our necks. All 6 of us, including me, my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters, were rescued very safely. It was a Sunday, and the flooding happened between 3 PM and 5 PM, everything worked out for us to be rescued without harm.

 

When you cross the rivers, they will not overflow you. God was with us and miraculously protected us as He said, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” The promise that the Lord spoke to me and made to me in the days when I accepted the Lord is Isaiah 43:2. I did not understand it at first. But many years later, when I had to cross the water according to that verse, I realized it 100 percent and thanked Him.

 

Another time, I left my 90-year-old mother at my daughter’s house in Tirunelveli. That night, there was an electrical leak and a fire broke out. The fire department was immediately informed. They came and put out the fire and there was no major incident. My God miraculously protected my family. When I learned what had happened, I praised God. There was only material damage. Thus, God protected me from water and fire. God has protected me miraculously in my life.

 

Friends who are reading this! We have passed through fire and water. As David said, you have brought us to a prosperous place, the Lord who has done wonders in my life, whatever your situation may be, will save you, Hallelujah.
