The Way of Salvation

 

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” - John 1:12

 

Once Billy Graham explained salvation through an example. He said, "Many argue that I believe in the Lord, I believe in the Bible, I don't stop coming to church, is this not enough for me to go to heaven?" No, this is never enough. You must accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. For example, a person buys a ticket on a very expensive plane to go somewhere and arrives at the airport at a certain time. A few minutes before the plane is supposed to take off, his name is called. But if he does not board the plane and is late, the door of the plane will be closed. The plane will run on the runway and start flying high. The man was confident that the plane would take him to his destination. Even though everything was ready, he could not get on it because he did not get on it. Yes, even though he knew everything about the church, the Bible, heaven, and hell with the Christian name, heaven is not possible if he did not accept Jesus as his personal Savior in his personal life.

 

In the Gospel written by John, we read that as many as received him by faith in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. All those who accepted Jesus are not only children of Jesus, but they are also saved and have received the right to be residents of heaven.

 

Beloved! It is not possible to say that I know Jesus, that I meditate on the verses in his Bible daily, and that I go to church regularly. If we confess our sins to the Lord Jesus, He will wash us with His blood, cleanse us, and accept us as His children. Only if we accept Him as our personal Savior will we find the way of salvation. Jesus calls each of us to accept Jesus and become His child and to proclaim the way of salvation to those who do not know it. Let us come to Jesus. Let us find the way of salvation. Let us proclaim it to others and let us try to do it today.
