Use Your Talents

 

“…for God loveth a cheerful giver” - 2 Corinthians 9:7

 

Charlotte Elliott was a very beautiful young woman who had a special gift, she could play the piano wonderfully! Whenever she played, everyone who listened was amazed by the sweetness of her music. As she practiced more and more, she became even better and started playing in small gatherings. Soon, she became very famous, and people began inviting her to play at large concerts. That day, there was an unusual shower of compliments. At that time, Dr. Milan arrived. Elliott, your beauty and talent are from God. Use them for Him. First, accept Him in your heart. Not only that, but he said that using the talents God has given you for worldly purposes to earn money, name, and fame is the same as begging.

 

These words kept ringing in Charlotte Elliot's ears. It made her think. She thought how happy she would be if she used the talent God had given her for him, after wasting so much time and money, and from that day on, she started using her talents for the Lord. While writing this, she realized how great a sinner she was, and how much Jesus loved her and forgave her. She was happy to use the talents God had given her. God made her a blessing to many.
