Arise! Arise!

 

“Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD…” - Isaiah 51:9

 

The Paralympic Games were in full swing. When the race was announced, the ten disabled participants stood ready in their respective places. As soon as the whistle was blown, everyone started running. The spectators applauded and cheered them on. Within seconds, one competitor stumbled and fell. The next second, the other nine competitors stopped. While the crowd watched in silence and shock, the remaining nine walked back, grabbed the fallen one by the hand, and lifted him up. The ten joined hands and ran in unison, stepping on the winning line at the same time. All the spectators in the stadium stood up, applauded and cheered. All ten were declared winners. It was a thrilling event.

 

Yes, beloved, the Christian journey is not about me being prepared and reaching the kingdom of heaven alone; the special thing is that I, being prepared, prepare others and reach the goal. Why not be one of the other nine who lifted up the one who stumbled and fell in the middle of the road and continued the journey of victory again? When this concern comes to you, you will not hesitate to come down from your position for Christ. You will not look back when you put your hand on the plough, that is, when you are dedicated to going into the field. His right hand will work mightily with your hand. All those ten athletes together set foot on the winning line.

 

May the Lord grant you the grace to press and push you with the same motivation, that oneness, that love of God. There is a group of prayer warriors on their knees for you to give the abundant fruit of your sowing to the Master Jesus. The King Jesus will take care of the powers of darkness that arise to overcome the challenges. "Arise, arise, O Zion, put on your strength." (Isaiah 52:1). May the grace of the Lord be abundant with every servant who rises up for the work of God. Amen.
