Do not hesitate

 

"Learn to do good;..." - Isaiah 1:17

 

Devan and six other children had to cross a railway track every day to go to school. One day, Devan noticed that some wooden pieces on the railway track were missing. He became worried that it might cause an accident.

 

He told his friends about it, but they didn't care. They thought they would be late for school. What if there was danger? What if they scolded him for stopping the train? As these thoughts raced through his mind, he heard the train's whistle. He didn't have time to think. Fortunately, he was wearing a red shirt that day, so he took it off, held it up, and waved it as he ran along the railway track.

 

The engine driver, seeing something that looked like a red flag, applied the brakes. As the train slowly came to a stop, Devan took him and showed him the crack in the tracks. The shocked driver hugged Devan and thanked him. Railway officials came and inspected the site. They asked Devan what gift he wanted. He replied, "Sir, because we have to walk ten kilometers, only a few children from our village go to school. If there was a stop in our village, more children would go to school. Please arrange for that." The officials made the necessary arrangements.

 

My dear children of God! Servants of God! We have come to the end times. Especially this year, we must fulfill our contribution for God. Many were saved because of Devan's good deed. Not only that, but many children also received an education. Just as he stopped the train with his red shirt and saved the lives of many, we too must take to the field today to save the souls of many through our salvation. We should not be like those who saw the crack in the train but ignored it.

 

Like Devan, our salvation should be instrumental in saving many from death, the wages of sin. Let us commit ourselves today to increasing our contribution to God more and more this year. Our participation is essential for many to be saved. Let us do it, let us act. May the Lord Himself bless us! Amen. Hallelujah!
