Cut a Channel

 

“…Make this valley full of ditches." - 2 Kings 3:16

 

The king of Moab came to war against the king of Israel. Then the king of Israel called the king of Edom to come to his aid. Both of them came. The three kings and their armies went through the wilderness of Edom. They wandered in the wilderness for seven days, and there was no water. The soldiers and the animals were exhausted because there was no water. The king of Israel asked for a prophet to inquire of the Lord. The prophet Elisha came. Then the prophet Elisha said, "Cut channels in this valley. It will fill with water without wind or rain. You and your animals will drink and be satisfied. He will deliver the Moabites into your hand." And so it happened.

 

If the Lord says it, He will fulfill it. Are you also tired of waiting for something in your life and not getting it? Are you suffering because of some lack or need? If so, cut the channels. The thing you thought and expected will be obtained, the deficiency will be fulfilled. Cutting the channels is our prayer life, Bible reading, and holiness. We must examine these and correct ourselves. We must cut the channels and draw closer to Him. When we do so, we can achieve success.

 

When Joshua led the people of Israel, he said when the Jordan came against him, sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do miracles among you. Yes, for miracles to happen, our personal relationship with God must be corrected. Let us examine it and correct it. Then our needs will be met, and the Lord will use us as a blessing to many.
