Children listen!

 

“Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding” – Proverbs 4:1

 

It has been a month since schools reopened. Syllabuses, classroom activities and interactions with friends continued as usual. This advice is for children of all age groups studying in schools and colleges. Knowledge is very important for education. The Bible makes it clear in many places that that wisdom comes only when you fear the Lord. The Bible says that children are an inheritance from God to their parents and the fruit of the womb is a fruit from Him. The Lord has given the right to handle that inheritance to their parents on this earth. Therefore, it is necessary to obey their teachings in all matters. Proverbs tells us how to obey parents and honour them as they mature.

 

When we were young, our parents made us read one chapter from Proverbs every day. Maximum 31 days per month. So, we read and practiced a proverb every day. In addition, we learned and practiced the ACTS prayer method and the ASPECTS scripture reading method through the EU ministry during our teenage days. Then over time we learn from the scriptures about life's daily needs, challenges and distant visions, pray and overcome with the Holy Spirit's harmony.

 

Make it a habit to communicate the challenges you encounter in your studies to your parents and to God in prayer. The life experiences of the elders and the knowledge of the scriptures will guide you in the right direction. According to Proverbs 15:22, if there are many counselors, our thoughts will be confirmed. So don't hesitate to share your struggles with caring church leaders, mentors, or trusted spiritual guides who genuinely want the best for you. Choose your friends wisely, but treat everyone with kindness and respect.
