Daily Devotion (English) – 19.09.2021 (Kids Special)

 

DON’T WORRY

 

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made...” – Psalm 139:14

 

In a dense forest, there lived animals, birds and small creatures, joyfully. There was a pond in the midst of the forest. The scenes of fish and frogs jumping and playing in the pond, was the best scenario in that forest. There were two friends in that forest. You are also having friends, is it not? You talk and play with them, no? Like that, one hare and one duck, as friends, meet one another frequently. One day, that duck was standing on the shore without swimming in the pond. At that time the hare came to drink water and by seeing his friend standing sadly, asked, “Why are so much sad, today?” For that, the duck told with sorrow, “My mouth is so much flat. But since the crane is having a lengthy mouth, it catches the fish easily and eats. I cannot do like that. My body is like a boat. With this body I can walk very slowly. I cannot walk fast. See my leg. Since it is without gap, I cannot even run. Because of these reasons, I cannot be happy.”

 

That hare said, “Why are you telling like this? See, my ears are big. See my legs. My front legs are small and my back legs are big. But God created us like this for good only.” Duck asked “How you are telling that it is good?” Hare said, “One day I heard the roaring sound of a lion in the forest. I found from which direction, that sound came, with the help of my big ears. When the lion chased me, I escaped from the lion by using my legs by jumping and running. At that time, I thought that the Lord has created me awfully special and I thanked God.” At once, that duck got into the water and ate two fish and said by floating into the water, “Yes, friend. You are right. God has created me also awfully special. Hereafter I won’t feel and be happy.” 

 

What, kutties! You heard the story of animals. Are you also worrying like that duck? Don’t feel like I am black in colour, nose is flat, I am fat and the like. Even though Jesus created you differently, He loves you especially, no? Since our father Jesus loves you, you are awfully special, yes! Then, don’t worry. Okay.
