Daily Devotion (English) – 06.02.2022 (Kid’s special)

Forget not to give thanks  

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:” - Psalms 103:2

Hello kids, how are you all? You are happy about the reopening of your schools, aren’t you?  But Pre KG, LKG and UKG kids are at home. Do you feel that you are not able to play and enjoy? Do you miss your friends? As you are very small, it is good for you to stay at home. It is written in the Bible that in the last days there will be pestilences, isn’t it? Anyhow among perils, the Lord our God is always with us to protect and lead us in an astonishing way if we pray to Him.  So, we need not fear about anything. Ok, shall we pass on to the story?

A dove and an ant became friends and they stayed in a cool forest area with lovely trees and a rippling stream. Whenever the dove came to the stream to quench its throat it met its friend and they had a nice chat. At times the dove was amazed at the unity and diligence of the ants. One day the ant was collecting food particles. It fell into the water and was struggling for life. The dove happened to notice the helpless ant. It picked a leaf and dropped it on the water where the ant was. The ant climbed on to the leaf and it was carried to the river bank by the gentle wind. The ant thanked its loving friend for its timely help in danger. It also assured that it would never forget its help in its life. Are you in the habit of thanking the person who helps you? Yes ok.

On another day the dove was sitting on a branch of the tree. At that time a hunter saw the dove and aimed his arrow at the dove. The dove’s friend the little ant and his friends came there accidently, on seeing the hunter aiming at the dove. They bit the hunter on his leg. The hunter looked down and missed his aim. The dove was saved. It thanked the ants for their help.

What Kids! Did you see how thankful the dove and the ant are! We have been receiving countless goodness from our loving heavenly Father. Have you ever pondered? He takes care of us and protects us day and night without slumbering, heals our sicknesses, meet all our needs, nourishes us and the list goes on. So, we must remember to give thanks always for all things to God with a grateful heart.
