Fright of the fire

“… do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” - Matthew 10:28
 
It is a place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth and cries of agony saying” Is there anyone who can rescue us from this horrible place? I play the major role in this place. Do you wonder who I am? Yes, I am fire who works without showing partiality. Everyone is treated equally by me. The expensive metal gold is refined and tested in me to change its shape and to become pure and shining. Thus, I am useful to you in many ways. I can touch anyone easily. But if you touch me, you will be burnt. I was swelling with pride as I can easily accomplish whatever I plan to do. But a day was set for my defeat.

In the year 606 King Nebuchadnezzar punished three God fearing young men and ordered his men to cast the three youths into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. The King told me to burn them to death alive. I was waiting to engulf them as soon they were thrown. But you see, I could neither touch nor hurt them. I had no power on their bodies and even the hair of their head was not singed. Suddenly one more person was seen walking with the three men. I stared most intently and found that the fourth person was the Son of God Jesus Christ. I am the work of His hand. How can I oppose and do anything against my creator? God Himself is a consuming fire. Then I realized that I cannot resist God and also God’s people who live for Him and rely on Him without God’s will or command.

Beloved, I am fire and I can destroy only your body. I cannot touch your soul. So, if your soul is fired up by the Holy Spirit, you can ignite many others and you will be a soul winner.

I have been assigned an end time task in this world. It is given in II peter 3:7 that the existing world is reserved for me until the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. On that day the heavens will be dissolved being on me (fire) and the elements will melt with fervent heat. Then you can look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. My task will not be over with it. I will be present in the lake of eternal fire prepared for the unrepentant and the condemned ones. You kindly help the people get to know Jesus so that they will be saved and will not be cast into the eternal fire? Won’t you pay heed to my anguish?
