Give

 

“...For with the same measure that you use, if will be measured back to you.” - Luke 6:38

   

When I was 23 years old, I had been called to share my testimony with the school children as a part of children’s ministry. I was little bit reluctant to tell the kids about my kidney failure and kidney transplant. I prayed to Jesus for a minute and by God’s grace I shared my testimony. I gave only superficial information about biopsy and dialysis. When the story time, action songs and skits were over, a student of class eight approached me with much hesitation and said, “I am benefitted by your witness. Jesus prompted me to give you the coin I have, as an offering.’’ Offering her two rupee coin to me she said that her mother had given it to buy for her a chocolate. I told her to give the coin to the senior brother. Feeling shy, she went and gave it to the brother. He received it with a smile and prayed for her. The child’s joy knew no bounds.

 

I was marveled by the action of the child. At her small age she heard God’s voice and acted with obedience. I just thought for a while. If I were in her place, what would have been done by me? A large crowd followed Jesus as they had seen the signs and received miracles. Many of them dedicated their lives to God. How about us? Many of us do not have the intention to hear God’s voice with a whole heart. Even if we listen to the voice, we are not prepared to obey the word of God.

 

Beloved, we need a heart that is willing to hear the word of God and obey it. If we offer to God our energy, money, time and talent we will be blessed double. It is a blessing to us not only in this age but also in the age to come.

Prayer Request

Pray that God may bless the endeavor taken to plant 1000 churches in the villages in Tamilnadu where there are no churches.
