Daily Devotion (English) – 02.06.2022

 

We are compelled to preach 

 

“…Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to all creation” - Mark 16:15

 

I belong to an economically weaker family. But by God's grace I completed polytechnic. I was unemployed for quite a few months, God gracefully helped me to get a good job. I accepted God and started going to church on Sundays, but I was living an average Christian life. One evening I saw a brother teaching Sunday class to few children. He told me that " he will work for 5 days a week and on weekends he will do the ministry. Since he didn't have a proper vehicle, he had to travel around 10kms to do ministry". I was burdened with this, and I was amazed at the same time. He will insist me do the ministry. One day I agreed on a condition "I will drop you on those villages, but you should not force me to do the ministry"

 

On the second week he told me to teach some Bible verses and i did that. After that he asked me to teach some songs, I did that. After that he asked me to tell stories, I did that as well. One day I realized that I am doing ministry without knowing what i what doing. So, I thought this is not good and I told him that "I am not going with him." But God commanded me to go with him and do as he say. That is how my ministry started. Today I am doing ministry among children.

 

Dear beloved, we often think that ministry is not for us. But the Bible clearly says that "We are compelled to preach the gospel." Jesus Christ in his last days on earth said," go into all the world and preach gospel to all creations". So, ministry is our responsibility and God’s command. So, let us share the gospel and be blessed.
