Love

 

“…through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13

 

Leo Tolstoy is a famous writer. Let us meditate today's devotion through his story. 

 

A man got a boon from the God. He asked God "Everyone should love me". He was very happy as everyone loved him, over time he got bored as he was receiving love and not giving it back. Again, he came to the God and said "I want to love everyone". God granted his wish. He loved everyone but nobody cared about him. Imagine that gruesome feeling. Finally, he realized loving others and receiving love from others is the true happiness.

 

In the Bible if there is an example for love, that is our Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in this world because of the love he had on us. He lived in this world and gave His life for us. Shed even the last drop of His blood for us. “He showed us to Love others like He did and also gave it as a command". "Love others as yourself" is the second most commandment. 

 

Dear children of God, how many of us are ready to love others? If there is a pure love in this world, that will be loving others without any expectations. Mother Teresa's said, “Instead of saying I'm living for you; make someone say I am living because of you". Let us love others without expectation and follow he commandment of God.
