Untouchability
“God shows no partiality” - Acts 10:34
Viktor Orban the president of Hungary said "We accept others; we are ready to mingle with others. But we are not willing to be a mixed racial person." This interview was released on a journal called the guardian, it spread shockwaves throughout Hungary. A minister from his party resigned as a response stating “It’s deceptive for a president to show racism on the citizens of his country."
Bible warns us saying that "If someone is being a racist, it will be a greater sin and will pave way for hell". Egyptians felt shepherds were untouchables. For Jews, Samaritans were untouchables. In the Bible we can see that there is lot of people who thought themselves as superior to others. God doesn't like this kind of behavior. God hates showing partiality based on race, religion or culture.
In Galatians (2: 11-21) Paul blamed Peter for the hypocrisy he did when the Jews came from James. There is no denial even today for the caste pride believers have. John writes in 1 John 4:20, "For he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" You are disgraceful before God if you can’t compromise yourself and have peace in your mind when accepting and having friendship with others. It is hypocrisy of we have partiality in our mind and have a God as our savior who has no partiality in Him and treats everyone as equals. Let us have the thoughts of our God.
