An anthropologist conducted a competition for young boys of an African tribe. He filled a basket with fruits kept it under a tree, made the boys to stand in a line 100 meters away from the tree. He said, "Whoever touches the tree first will get all the fruits". He blew the whistle and the race started. They started to hold each other's hand and started running together, reached the tree together and shared the fruits. He asked why you did this, they said "Ubuntu" it meant "I am because, we are!). How can one be happy while others are sad? 

 

Few youngsters were brought to Babylon from Jerusalem. Daniel, Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego they thought that they shouldn't be defiled even with food and requested the chief of the eunuchs. They were given separate food. Not only that, when Nebuchadnezzar passed a decree to slay all the wise men in Babylon who didn’t reveal the dream which king had and its meaning, Daniel and his friends prayed for the mercy of God (Daniel 2:17). Our God revealed the dream and its meaning to Daniel. When he told the dream and its meaning, he received great many gifts and was lifted as a ruler over whole province of Babylon and chief of the governors. As per his request, his friends were also lifted up with him (Daniel 2:24-49).

 

Yes, my dear! Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1) is a wonderful and true gospel. Bible says, "Add to your faith brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness to love" (2 peter 1:7). If there rise any troubles among our brethren or neighbors, use love as the only weapon, win evil with good. Blessed are the peace makers: for they shall be called the children of God. Let us reflect the love of Jesus.
