Meaningful Christmas between friends

 

“…they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger” - Luke 2:16

 

The birth of the Son of God was first informed to friends. Yea, those shepherds herding their sheep, cooking, eating and sleeping together are friends without a doubt. Friends won’t postpone a decision they take, but finish it quicker. They won’t over think like what to do with this, to whom should I give this. Shepherds are also like this. They didn't waste time by thinking; the angel said this and went! With whom should we leave our herd, who will feed and water our herd but acted fast? In the similar way, we should share the birth of Jesus it being a gospel to our friends and guide them to know Jesus. Act fast ignoring excuses like what will he think, would it spoil my friendship. Invite them to your house for Christmas, share how Jesus came into your mind and tell them the blessing you received and openly ask them to come to Christ. It is not certain that there will be an opportunity like this. Secondly, shepherds spread the news about the Child. Yea, we should do it as well. Gather your Christian friends and take them for ministry in your neighboring village. Start from children's ministry and distributing tracts. You will witness the revival later. Those children you guide will become pastors and missionaries.  

 

Thirdly, shepherds praised God. Yea, you can gather pray with your friends. This can be started casually. It will be marvelous to see the fruits of your prayer. Let us act for God in our working place, and shops. Let s celebrate a meaningful Christmas as a meaningful Christian.
