12 More Months
“They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy” - Jonah 2:8
My dear beloved in Christ! As we have entered into this New Year, let us thank Him for we have received 12 months graciously. But the Bible says "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy." So let us surrender everyday to the presence of God and save ourselves.
During the time of Daniel, king Nebuchadnezzar was scared about a dream he had. God interprets the dream through Daniel. In the end of the dream, an idea was given to the king to escape the danger awaits for him through Daniel. The idea is to do good, be kind towards the downtrodden and remove his sins to escape the danger awaits him. But he wasted the twelve months grace period given to him without thinking about it. As a result he was driven from men as he boasted himself against God saying "Is not this great Babylon that I have built." His kingdom was taken from him.
Dear child of God! To remove the shortcomings you have and fulfill His plans, to make your life prosperous through the promises and warning and to inherit them, God has given you 12 more months.
Are you going to take the chance and do glorious deeds for God and inherit a prosperous life? Or are you going to waste the graceful period like king Nebuchadnezzar?
- K. Benjamin
