Gave whatever I can 

 

“Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might…” - 1 Chronicles 29:2

 

Recently we went for a group ministry to a nearby village. It was a foothill of a mountain! There gathered a few women for prayer. We sang few songs, meditated on some verse and we all had small talk and we concluded the prayer. While we were about to go from that village, a woman came to me to say, sir pray for my family to come out of poverty. Once I finished my prayer, she gave an offering. I refused but she forcefully left 100 rupees in my hand. She borrowed this money to give as an offering. This part should be noted and is most important here. 

 

In today’s devotion, we can see that people from the church of Macedonia gave offerings happily amidst their trials and poverty. How much do you have, to give is not important, Instead if we have “Whatever I can" in our hearts we can do our best. Let the God who makes the grace to multiply, give us grace He gave to the Churches in Macedonia.

 

My dear beloved in Christ, in today's devotion God wants to speak an important think to you. If we have disagreements and questions in helping for God's ministry, then who can help the ministry? Our hands and heart should come forward to give generously. Not by forcing or grievances, we should show happiness and desire. The people from the church of Corinth had money but they didn't have the heart to give. But the people from the church of Macedonia didn't have anything to give but still they did their best to help. In this final day, it’s okay if we didn't go for ministry it is good to do our best to support the ministry. You will have treasures in heaven. Let God guide you!
