Don't waste time

 

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” - Matthew 25:13

 

It was a beautiful forest. It was beautiful, filled with birds and flowers. Watching those birds nesting on the branches will make us want to watch them more. Among them a bird was chosen as their leader, and it led them.

 

One day this leader got an idea. It wanted to find out who among them is intelligent. So, it announced a competition. All the birds should decorate their nests. The leader will come and stay in the nest that is decorated the most. Lot of prizes will also be given. 

 

All the birds are happy on hearing this. All the birds thought it is the proudest moment if the leader came to stay in our nest and flew to gather decorations. They all brought color paper, beautiful gems, pearls and so on to decorate their nests. There lived a crow named Rema. It had gathered many things than others. Rema thought, if I decorate my nest with all these things, my nest will be the most beautiful. It slept happily, hoping the leader will stay in its nest. The next morning it thought, it will be wonderful if I bought a few more things, flew to gather decorations and came home in the evening. It was happy to see all the things it had gathered and went to sleep because it was tired planning to decorate the home tomorrow. When it woke up early in the morning, it saw the leader along with few other birds came for the visit. They went to another nest because the nest wasn't decorated. Rema started crying. What's the use of crying when it’s too late? It said sadly, even after gathering the decorations, I postponed the decoration, and everything is wasted now, the leader couldn't stay in my nest. 

 

Brothers and sisters, in the same way we need prayer and Bible reading to decorate our body the temple. If we postpone hoping to do it tomorrow, Jesus can't stay in our heart. We will be forsaken when Jesus comes. So from today onwards, read the Bible, pray cleanse your heart and give space for Jesus to come and stay in your heart OK.
