Where is God?

 

“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” - Matthew 27:46

 

Fourth verse Jesus spoke on the cross.

A.B Simson established Christian and missionary alliance. We can read his biography in the book Wingspread written by A. W Tozer. Growth was so rapid in the life of Simson who started his ministry after receiving salvation. But at a certain period a weakness along with a spiritual darkness happened in his life. In his mind was a cry, it was " My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me" Prayer and Bible reading didn't help him at that point. It took him lot of time to come out of that situation. 

 

A.W. Tozer writes a point in which, there is no presence of God, it might appear that there is no God. He says it is more common in the life of those who love God without any boundaries and does something for Him. These situations help us to rely on God instead of our feelings and situations. 

 

Psalms celebrates the relationship between God and man, its nature. David joyfully says in Psalms 16:11 says, "in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." and in Psalms 22:11 he weeps by saying "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me". If we look back on the history of the church, many Christian men witnessed such experiences they had in their lives. Our Lord Jesus experienced this situation on the cross, the face of God will be hidden He wept in agony by saying the words in Psalms 22:1. So He also understands what we are going through. 

 

My dear! Let us have faith in God and wait when such situations come in our lives. The light from the face of God will shine on us through the fellowship we have with other believers.
