Image of Christ 

 

“immediately forgets what kind of man he was” - James 1:24 

 

An young man doing his ministry among the youth tries his best to reflect the appearance of Christ in his life. Once he had to repair his car. Since his usual mechanic was not home, he had to approach a different mechanic. That mechanic didn't even looked at him, got the keys and said okay let's see tomorrow in a rude way. The next day he said to come again tomorrow. He told about the mechanic to his friend. His friend said, " if you keep quiet he will speak like this, if you were hard on him, he will do the job on time".

 

The next day they both went to scold the mechanic. But the mechanic gave the key with a smile in his face saying " you can take your car sir". Few days back my wife became a Christian. She invites me to go to church with her. I saw the Bible verse on your car and learnt that you are a Christian. Yea, I saw the patience my wife talks about in you. I also want to lead a Christian life. This man sat inside his car and prayed " Lord please forgive me! had I revealed my anger and hard words to him, he wouldn't have come you, help me to reflect You in all aspects."

 

Yea, my dear! we are all created in the image of Christ. So the image of Christ should reflect in us. We have to prove it to this world. Those who see us should see the Jesus in us. Our life should also be fragrant as it should reflect Christ. Our works should reflect Jesus and bring others to Christ. Let us think today and reflect Jesus.
