Always pray

 

“...that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” - Luke 18:1

 

God strengthens the weak. God spoke to two discouraged people. He said to Elias " I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal”, and revealed the plan He had for Elias. So Elias came forward to fulfil God's plan tirelessly. He spoke to Jonah. We don't know how he recovered from his disappointment. Yea, my dear children of God, whenever we are discouraged God speak to us through His words or through children of God. We will be filled with His strength and do things for God when we heed that. 

 

Most of the time we are discouraged in prayer. We fast, pray and go to church in Lent days. After 40 days we will reduce it. The reason for this is some kind of satisfaction. We think that for praying for 40 days we have accomplished something. He says we should always pray if we want to stand before the Son of man.

 

The Bible says that "men always ought to pray and not lose heart" because we will get tired when we pray. Our disappointment grows when we wait longer for our prayer, when the God given promises are dormant. But God says in this devotion " do not be discouraged in prayer. Your prayer will be answered at the right time for sure."

 

My dear reader! Are you discouraged and planning to quit praying? Or discouraged faithlessly thinking my prayers haven't been answered ? God is speaking to you through this. He wants you to pray always. Whatever you seek is very little in front of the Almighty. He will guide you when the time is right. His will is always great and the best. Let us decide to pray always. And act accordingly.
