Daily Devotion (English) – 11.06.2023 (Kids Special)

 

Unconditional love

 

“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” - 1 John 3:18

 

Lydia was running here and there in her bungalow. Suddenly cylinder busted and there was fire everywhere. Her mother and father were trapped inside. Lydia started screaming. Neighbours heard the sound, came and stood there. A few called the fire service and the few called the police but nobody came forward to save Lydia and her parents stuck inside. But suddenly a man named John who lost his wife, lonely and sad jumped into the house saved Lydia and brought her out safely. His body was heavily injured and his face was completely burnt. He was then taken to hospital. Her parents died in the fire. 

 

Days rolled by. Lydia was thinking about her parents and uncle John and crying. Her relatives tried to get her custody because she had a fortune. It became a fight and came before the elders. The leader asked who is her closest relative? Many of them shouted they are. There was a calm voice as well to claim her custody. They all looked in that direction to find uncle John standing with burns and horrible face. The leader asked whom do you want to go with? The little girl said, i want to go with Uncle John for he saved me without thinking about his own. She then came running, hugged him and kissed him. The leader also sent the child with him. 

 

My dear children, like this uncle John saved that little child without thinking about his own, Jesus also doesn't want our degree, education, beauty or status. He will love us for who we are. He will help us when we are in danger.
