A bag of sugar

 

"…A man reaps what he sows. " - Galatians 6:7

 

In a village, there lived a sugar merchant named Muthaiyan. He went to the neighbouring town bought sugar in bulk and selling the sugar he earned money. He had a donkey which helps him to carry the sugar. Every day the donkey carried the bag of sugar. On the way they had to cross the river. One day while crossing the river, the donkey slipped and fell into the river. The soaked sugar dissolved in water making the load less thus it was easy to carry. So the donkey thought, "I have to fall into this river every day." According to his plan, every day, while crossing the river, the donkey slips and falls and walks away easily having the sugar soaked and dissolved. Muthaiyan, who was watching, thought to somehow teach a lesson.

 

One day, instead of sugar, he bought a bag of cotton and placed over the donkey to carry. Donkey felt very happy and walked happily because the weight was very easy to carry. As always the river came which has to be crossed. It slipped and fell as usual. What happens to cotton ball when it gets wet? It absorbed the water and becam too heavy, the donkey could not stand up for a long time. It walked slowly because the weight was too heavy for it. It was not able to walk. It walked slowly thinking that it’s my punishment for cheating my master. “Oh, I've never suffered like this, I regret cheating my master.

 

Dear children if we try to deceive others, we will be deceived one day. If you cheat your parents and teachers by not doing your homework and studying, you are cheating yourself. You are the one who will fail in the exam. Therefore, study well from the beginning and live as good children without deceiving anyone and make Jesus happy. Bye
