Unity

 

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another;.." - 1 John 1:7

 

A team of 9 persons planned to visit the peak of Mt. They successfully reached the peak and returned amid much effort. Everyone who saw them was surprised! Because 4 of those 9 people don't have vision. 2 people can't talk and hear. 3 have prosthetic legs. This is the reason for people's surprise. So how did they achieve this? Unity, teamwork! Very few people are generally concerned about others! Many of us hesitate to unite with others. Although there are many reasons for this, let us look at some important ones.

 

The first is, "I don't need others help. Why should I talk to them? What about my status and why should I go and talk to them?" It is this proud thought that prevents us from uniting with others. If God thinks about us, as we think, what about our situation.

 

The second is the thought that "I don't need any help from others"! This is also tough. Let's imagine that we are the only ones in the world and we have the money we need. Is it possible to survive? Don't you need the help of others to get water, milk, newspaper, petrol, food etc.? Perhaps, we are in a position where we don't need others' help, but others may need our help! Ignoring people is like ignoring the creator, God!

 

Beloved! Let us love even the stranger at our door, and listen the words spoken. Let's smile and bridge the gap with others. Let's share God's love, forgive, tolerate and care for others . . . Let us lead many to eternal life. People are ready to talk, listen and love. Are you ready to show love and unite? Today's opportunity may not come again. Let's hurry and take chances.
