Living word

 

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful,…" - Hebrews 4:12

 

John Wesley, the famous minister, one day was riding past midnight then he heard a stern voice saying, "Stop." When he stopped the horse, a thief asked for the money. He showed a knife and threatened to take his life if he did not give the money.

 

Wesley handed him some coins which he had in his hand. The thief searched the horse to see if he had hidden more money somewhere else, he found only a few books and started running back in disappointment. Wesley looked at the thief and said, "Stop, I have something to give you." Wesley, filled with the love of Christ, told him, "The blood of Jesus Christ shall cleanse thee from all sin." A few years later, when Wesley came out of the evening meeting, while many were pressing forward to see him, there was one man waiting to speak to him somehow. When he got the moment he said, "I am that thief" and "now I am a businessman" and above all "I am a child of God". And then he said, "Sir, if you had not said those words that day, I would still been a thief."

 

In Hebrews 4:12 we read like this. " For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” "

 

Yes, dear ones! Let's share God's word with others as much as we can. When we speak the words of God, we must speak them with wisdom. Because God's living words can draw any man to God. Not only that but it can also completely change their lives. So, let's proclaim the word to God to those who need, with prayers’ The Lord will surely act!
