Pray

 

"Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is that Israel should be saved" - Romans 10:1

 

Above we read the words of Apostel Paul, who pleads for his people to be saved. There are many types of prayers in general. There are many people who pray for themselves and their needs. In the prayer we read today, we are reading about a prayer for the people around him, who he depends on.

 

Charles CH Spurgeon mentions Rachel's cry in his book “The Soul Winner.” She screamed give me child or let me die. Likewise, every one of us should cry and not be barren in the kingdom of God. He wrote that you should not stop crying and praying until you have brought at least one soul to salvation. This longing filled his heart and led many souls to the Lord.

 

It can be said that many times our prayers are seen as a ritual. We have been praying thinking that a prayer meeting is a duty that we should pray for some notes. A man of God, Leonard Rowanhill, writes that unless a man is broken in spirit, he cannot be used in the prayer life. God is looking for men who care about perishing people in private prayer.

 

The Holy Spirit intercedes with us through today's meditation. Pray without ceasing. Pray as a thought. At the same time he says to pray for the people with a broken heart and tears. Ask the Lord for the grace to change the barrenness in our prayer life and to pray earnestly. The Lord will make you a blessed vessel to lead many people to the Lord. He will do great things through us. Amen.
