Shall we live with gratitude?
"I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth" - Psalm 34:1
An ethnic group called "Kari" lives in Africa. There is a strange habit among them. It's their way of thanking each other! That is very interestingt too. The person who wants to give thanks, goes to his house and sits quietly with him. He would sit there without speaking for a while and express his gratitude.
Yes, if we want to give thanks to the God of heaven, then it is best to sit in His place willingly. Mary of Bethany did the same. He should sit silently in God's society and thanked God for the benefits he has done without listing her applications. Only then we can know about God. When Jesus came four days after the death of Mary's brother Lazarus, Mary fell at Jesus' feet and cried, "If you had been here, my brother would not have died." When Jesus asks where she has put her, she says in faith, "I will come and see." Not another word was said to the Jews. Even when he asks them to remove the stone, Martha says, "It stinks." Mary rests in the same place with faith in the community of God. She received her brother alive.
Dear readers! It is enough to sit quietly in the company of God, without questioning Him, even if your cause is dead. Your seemingly impossible task will come to life. If you come to God to give thanks, sit in the community of God and give thanks without asking questions and without listing requests and applications. It will change your life.
