Christmas and fellowship

 

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!” - Luke 2:14

 

Christmas is a celebration of fellowship! Christmas gives us the best opportunity to unite with others. Shall we see how anyone can share our love?

 

Solidarity with the lonely: We can visit elderly people who are unable to leave their homes and cheer them up with Christmas greetings and some fruits from our home.

 

Unity with the church faithful: We can bring new clothes to a few struggling families that we see in our church throughout the year and make them happy too.

 

Union with neighbours: If you live in an apartment, don't miss this moment. Share your love and evangelize by picking up some Christmas gifts and handing out a manuscript that clearly spells out the purpose of Christ's birth.

 

Unity at work place: If your behaviour is witnessing to others not only on Christmas day but also in the office where you work, then the small reward you give on that day will be a declaration of God's love.

 

Unity with villagers: Christmas days can be used to evangelize villages. If you go there with Santa Claus, you're sure a crowd will gather. One can unite with them by preaching the good news to them and giving them sweets.

 

Beloved! In a fast-paced world, we have to work mechanically. The relationship with others is at the level of Hai, Bye. But at least this Christmas let's take some time to have fellowship with others. "Cut out" some of the shopping and partying and you'll find time and space to spare. Be united with many this Christmas, just as many were united with Joseph-Mary at the first Christmas, shepherds, priests, and angels. Do your best and please them. Then the Lord will be glorified.
