Deep love

 

"What is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge;" - Ephesians 3:18

 

A young girl who studies in college, was loved by a boy. He told her every day, "I'll die without you." She too was afraid to hear this and agreed for the marriage and suddenly got married one day, without the knowledge of her parents. Within a week his true evil character was revealed. She was disappointed! She cried that I had left everything by trusting his love.

 

Such is the love of the world; Superficial love that says "I love you" with outward appearance! The desire of every human, Will anyone love me? This is why women adorn themselves. Men go to the gym. If we are beautiful, they imagine that someone will love us. The same person who says, "I can't live without you" will one day say "I hate you". This love is illusory love! The only unchanging, true, deep love is the love of our Jesus Christ!

 

The breadth of that love will seek and rescue people of any color, creed, or language. The length of that love, eternal love that called you by name before you were born! The depth of that love, the love that redeemed us while we were still in the pit of sin! The height of that love, the love that lifts us up even in the dirt and dust!

 

On this day when the world celebrates Valentine's Day, God intervenes with us. Whether you are married or have teenage children, our first love is Jesus alone. After that our life partner, parents, friends. May this deep unfathomable love of Jesus fill you today!
